US actress Lindsay Lohan will make her theatre debut on London’s West End later this year in a David Mamet play.
Earlier reports that Lohan will star as Karen in Speed-the-Plow - Mamet's satire of the movie business - have been confirmed by Theatre Royal Bath Productions.
The 27-year-old will make her debut in the role on September 24 at the Playhouse Theatre in London.
Speed-the-Plow debuted in 1988 on Broadway and ran for eight months, starring Madonna as naive secretary Karen. A failed actress, Karen soon becomes part of Hollywood's manipulative world.
Clueless star Alicia Silverstone also played the role in 2006, while Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss starred in a 2009 production.
