Maggie Gyllenhaal has revealed her love for the period drama and has said she would be keen to guest star.
The 35-year-old New Yorker might be a true movie-star, but she has revealed she would be happy to mingle with the Crawleys on Downton Abbey.
Speaking to the Telegraph Gyllenhaal said: “I’ve seen every episode of Downton Abbey.
“It’s like crack. We love English people doing old-fashioned things.
"Who would she like to play? I would be the American sister who is pregnant by – ooh, I don’t know – the sexy guy who had a fling with Lady Rose. Would I do it if I was offered? Sure I would!”
