Glassland, the new film from Pilgrim Hill writer-director Gerard Barrett, which stars Jack Reynor, Toni Collette, Will Poulter and Michael Smiley, is to receive its world premiere at next month's Galway Film Fleadh (July 8-13).

Glassland tells the story of a taxi driver who reaches a crossroads in his life as he tries to save his mother from addiction.

Writer-director Barrett said: "The Galway Film Fleadh gave my debut film Pilgrim Hill a platform, and it's a privilege for me to go back and launch my second film Glassland there."

Glassland will be released in cinemas in the autumn.
