Girls star Andrew Rannells has joined the upcoming Robert De Niro film The Intern.
The actor, who plays Hannah's ex-boyfriend Elijah in the HBO show, will appear alongside Anne Hathaway, Rene Russo, Nat Wolff, Linda Lavin and the newly cast Zack Pearlman.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the workplace comedy from Nancy Meyers centres on a 70-year-old widower (De Niro) who decides to come out of retirement to become an intern at an online fashion site run by Hathaway's character.
Mulaney star Pearlman will play a new intern who De Niro's character decides to take under his wing.
Meyers will direct from her own script.
The Intern will be released in September 2015.
