The Frames are set to mark the 25th anniversary of Dublin venue Whelan's with a special gig on June 30.

Whelan's said: "Since the early 90s, Whelan's has enjoyed some immense Frames performances and watched as the band has grown since the explosion of the single Revelate back in 1995 led to a string of sell out gigs and queues around the corner and down the street."

Whelans continued: "The Frames have regularly sold out far bigger venues in Dublin but still come back to Whelan's for the occasional gig.

"Recently Glen [Hansard, singer] had his birthday party in our front bar where the invitees were treated to a full band performance...

"So June 30th is bound to be a magical night and another highlight in what is a very special year for Whelan's."

Tickets are on sale tomorrow, June 24th from 2pm on www.whelanslive.com.
