Retired Newsnight host Jeremy Paxman has described Twitter users as "people who have got nothing going on in between their ears".
In an interview with Jon Snow for Channel 4 News broadcast ahead of his final show last night (June 18), the BBC veteran was asked why he wasn't on Twitter.
Paxman responded: “Twitter? This is an activity for people who have got nothing going on in between their ears, or nothing going on in their lives.
“I don’t want to lead anyone anywhere. I want to find things out. I have no thoughts that I want to share with people ,” he added. “I don’t want people to follow me.”
