Eurovision Song Contest winner Conchita Wurst returns to Dublin to play her first gig since her Euro triumph in Dublin bar The George this June as part of the Dublin Pride Festival.

Wurst, the bearded lady won Eurovision for Austria with her song Rise Like a Phoenix, plays Dublin's longest-running gay bar on Friday 27th June as part of a week-long schedule of Pride events at The George.

“I’m really looking forward to performing at The George and being part of the Dublin Pride Festival," Conchita says.

"I want to spread my message of tolerance, acceptance and respect for people who are different - I know my Irish supporters will help me do just that."

The George has been a linchpin of the LGBT community in Ireland for more than 25 years and has previously played host to gigs by Bananarama, Alexandra Burke, Daniel Johnson, and The Saturdays.
