Jason Momoa will play Aquaman in both the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and its sequel Justice League.
The actor, who famously played Khal Drogo in HBO's Game of Thrones, had been linked to the DC Comics superhero role, and now Variety has confirmed the reports.
He joins the already announced main cast of Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred.
Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will also reprise their roles from 2013's Superman movie Man of Steel.
Zack Snyder will direct Batman V Superman, which is slated for release on May 6, 2016.
