Love/Hate stars Tom Vaughan-Lawlor and Charlie Murphy will be back on stage in a new play by Howie The Rookie playwright Mark O'Rowe as part of the new season at The Abbey Theatre later this year.

O'Rowe's Our Few and Evil Days will make its debut on the Abbey Theatre stage this September.

It also stars Ciarán Hinds and is Dublin playwright O'Rowe's first original piece since 2007's Terminus.

Also announced as part of the Abbey's new season are Shaun Dunne's latest stage play, The Waste Ground Party, and a production of Shakespeare comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream directed by Gavin Quinn of Pan Pan Theatre.

George Bernard Shaw's lesser-known play Heartbreak House will also be staged this summer and Oliver Goldsmith's comedy She Stoops to Conquer will run over the Christmas period.
