Actress Lupita Nyong'o is set to work with her 12 Years A Slave co-star and producer Brad Pitt again in new movie Americanah.

The film will be based on Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's critically-acclaimed romance novel, which centres on a love story between two young Nigerian immigrants. Pitt has recruited Nyong'o to produce and star in this adaptation.

In a statement, Nyong'o said: "It is such an honor to have the opportunity to bring Ms. Adichie's brilliant book to the screen. Page after page, I was struck by Ifemelu and Obinze's stories, whose experiences as African immigrants are so specific and also so imminently relatable. It is a thrilling challenge to tell a truly international story so full of love, humour and heart."

The Best Supporting Actress Oscar winner's career has blown up in the past year since her 12 Years a Slave debut. She has also recently been added to the cast of Star Wars: Episode Vii.
