Coronation Street's Paula Lane has announced that she is expecting her first child with husband Tom Shaw.
Best known for portraying Kylie Platt in the long running soap, the 28-year-old actress broke the news via her Twitter account on Thursday afternoon.
She tweeted: '@SirTomShaw and I are thrilled to announce we have a Christmas pud in the oven! SURPRISE!’
It is thought her baby is due in December though no official due-date has been announced.

— Paula_Lane (@lane_paula) June 5, 2014Paula and Tom, who are childhood sweethearts, tied the knot just three weeks ago with wedding guests including her Corrie cast-mates Jane Danson, Helen Worth and Jack P. Shepherd, who plays on-screen husband David.
Paula later thanked friends and family “for all your lovely messages”.
