Game of Thrones has surpassed The Sopranos to become HBO's most viewed show ever.
The Sopranos, which concluded in 2007, averaged at 18.2 million gross viewers per episode while Game of Thrones averages out at 18.4 million gross in the current season.
Game of Thrones is now in its fourth season and its ratings have jumped significantly with episodes in season three averaging out at 14.4million gross viewers.
Game of Thrones continues on Sky Atlantic on Mondays at 9pm.
