Foo Fighters' highly anticipated 8th studio album will be released in November.
The album, which is still untitled, will follow 2011's Grammy-nominated Wasting Lights.
The rock band's new album will feature music from the forthcoming documentary Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways. The documentary follows the band's recording sessions in 8 cities across the US.
A press release notes that every time the band recorded in one of the eight cities, "local legends" came along to collaborate with them.
"I've pulled up the family tree of American music and exposed its roots to find inspiration for the next Foo Fighters album," the band's frontman, Dave Grohl said in an official statement.
