One Direction star Louis Tomlinson is reportedly planning to mount a bid to buy Doncaster Rovers, the club he both plays for and supports.
The 22-year-old pop star made his professional football debut for the South Yorkshire club’s reserves in a 0-0 draw in February, after signing a non-contract deal with the club last year.
According to UK tabloid The Sun, Tomlinson is in "advanced talks" to buy the English League One club and become its next chairman.
The singer, who was this week involved in a controversial video with bandmate Zayn Malik, would become the first pop star chairman of an English football club since Elton John bought Watford in 1976.
