It survived pirates and sea monsters, but it looks like the 66-year-old pirate ship that featured heavily in the Pirates of the Caribbean films has lost its fighting spirit.
The Brig Unicorn, best known by fans as The Black Pearl, The Henrietta and The Terrasaw in the popular fantasy adventure films, was en route from St Lucia to St Vincent-Grenadines when she encountered difficulties.
Ten crew members aboard the ship had to be rescued by the coast guard, but fortunately no one was hurt.
Pirates of the Caribbean returns to the big screen in 2016.
