Fight Club star Brad Pitt was attacked and punched in the face at the Hollywood premiere of Maleficent last night (May 28).
The 50-year-old star, was posing on the red carpet with his partner, Angelina Jolie who plays the title role in the movie, when the incident occurred.
Speaking to The Los Angeles Times, officer Nuria Vanegas of the Los Angeles Police Department, said: “Some guy jumped over the barricades and made contact with Brad Pitt".
Police reported the suspect as Ukranian Vitalii Sediuk, who reportedly attempted to crawl under actress America Ferreira’s dress at the premiere of How to Catch a Dragon 2 earlier this month.
Sediuk was arrested on suspicion of battery and is being held on $20,000 bail, according to The Los Angeles Times.
