The brains behind My Big Fat Greek Wedding have announced that there will be a sequel to the 2002 box office hit.
The script is once again being written by Nia Vardalos who will also reprise her role as Fotoula 'Toula' Portokalos. Her co-star John Corbett will return as Ian Miller.
The story will follow the endearingly loud and proud Portokalos family years after Fotoula 'Toula' Portokalos and non-Greek husband Ian Miller got married in an over-the-top elaborate wedding. The sequel will see the Portokalos family just in time for another big wedding, after a big secret is revealed.
The romantic comedy will be produced by Playtone's Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman.
