Twilight star Robert Pattinson has described himself as "so bad" at auditioning for roles.
The 28-year-old Cosmopolis actor has said he was afraid he would not get the lead role in his upcoming drama, The Rover, because he still becomes nervous in front of casting directors.
Speaking to ET Canada at the Cannes Film Festival, Pattinson said: ''I'm so bad at auditioning and I was terrified that I wasn't going to get it.''
He added: ''I really, really fought for it.''
Pattinson, who plays a ruthless ex-soldier in the Australian film, said of his character: ''It's a character that doesn't really have any constraints. It's not really specified where he's from or what his desires are, or really what his mental state is. And I felt really relaxed doing it because you could just do whatever you wanted, basically.''
