The event takes place at Thursday at Smock Alley theatre. Jeong Mi-kyeong is the winner of the Yi Sang Literary Award for her novel, Break of the Night. In 2011, Lee Kiho won the prestigious Yi Hyo-Seok Literary Award for his short story, So Far, and Yet So Near.

Christine Dwyer Hickey’s novel, The Cold Eye of Heaven was shortlisted  for the Hughes & Hughes Irish Book of the Year and won the Kerry Group  Irish Novel in 2012. Colin Barrett’s much-acclaimed first collection of short stories, Young Skins, was published by Stinging Fly Press in 2013.

Thanks to Dalkey Archive Press’ Library of Korean Literature, the work of contemporary Korean writers is becoming available to English-speaking audiences.

Tomorrow night's event is presented by the Korean Embassy and the Literature Translation Institute of Korea, in association with Dalkey Archive Press and Dublin Writers Festival.

A pre-event reception will be hosted by the Korean Embassy at 7.00pm for all ticket holders. Tickets are free, but booking is required. www.dublinwritersfestival.com
