Noel and Liam Gallagher watched Manchester City triumph over West Ham to win their second Premier League title yesterday at the Etihad Stadium.
The estranged brothers, and former Oasis band mates, attended the final game of the season separately. Noel was joined by former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr and they both celebrated on the pitch with Noel wearing Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany's armband.
"This shows we're not a flash in a pan, like Blackburn that season and Leeds in the old Division One,” Gallagher Snr told The Mirror after the final whistle.
“Samir Nasri's goal was great, this was great and we ran the clock down. And I've got Vincent Kompany's captain's armband - I saw him in the tunnel and blagged it off him!"
Meanwhile, Liam ducked out of the celebrations but told Manchester City's in-house TV channel before the game that he is a huge fan of the Man City manager, Manuel Pellegrini. "I love him, I want him to adopt me.” he said.
