Baz Luhrmann has reportedly been in discussions to direct an Elvis Presley biopic, with reports of a screenplay by Kelly Marcel who wrote Saving Mr. Banks.
Warner Bros are said to be steering the Elvis project, but have made no official comment as yet. Its producers have reportedly been in talks with the film director, whose successes include Romeo and Juliet, Moulin Rouge and most recently, The Great Gatsby.
Luhrmann is also believed to be ready to direct an adaptation of the 1970s TV show Kung Fu. He is also reported to be developing a mini-series on Napoleon for HBO.
