The Happy Days Enniskillen Beckett Festival will extend its run this August, giving more time to the world’s biggest annual celebration of Nobel Prize writer Samuel Beckett.
The festival will now run from July 31 until August 10, with theatre, music, visual art, comedy, lectures and discussions.
Due to the festival’s increasing popularity - last year accommodation was booked out weeks in advance - Happy Days begins earlier and incorporates the August bank holiday weekend.
James Joyce looms large in the programme of events this year, due to Beckett’s close involvement with the author while he was writing Finnegan’s Wake in Paris.
Full festival programme announcement and festival bookings go live from May 22 at www.happy-days-enniskillen.com.
