It’s all about the music this bank holiday Monday on RTÉ Radio 1 with a chance to hear Lisa Hannigan and Dylan Haskins culture podcast, Soundings for the first time and two-time Eurovision winner Brendan Graham also features.

Soundings is the great new culture and music podcast by Lisa Hannigan and Dylan Haskins. The duo talk about everything from music, film, exhibitions, literature and more. Their podcasts are very popular on iTunes and they have featured everyone on their shows from Dermot O’Leary, Wes Anderson and Harry Shearer. First though, let's begin at the beginning with their first podcast which airs this Bank Holiday Monday, May 5 at 1.30pm.

One of the most successful Irish songwriters, Brendan Graham who has written two Eurovision winning songs and the hit You Raise Me Up, is the subject of a new documentary on RTÉ Radio 1.

Graham has never been involved with a programme quite like this where listeners have a chance to hear his Eurovision winning songs, Rockn’Roll Kids and The Voice plus his stories behind them.

From his Mayo home in Lough Mask, which he credits as being the inspiration for much of his work, he will also talk listeners through his inspiration for his hit song You Raise Me Up, which was recorded 800 times in 40 languages, perhaps most notably by Westlife.

Fumbling for the Light – The Songs of Brendan Graham will be broadcast on RTÉ Radio 1 this coming Monday, May 5, at 2.00pm and the musician will also present a Songwriting in Focus session at IMRO on Saturday May 17.
