Actor Isaiah Washington made a dramatic return to Grey's Anatomy is an episode that aired stateside last night (May 1), seven years after he was fired from the show after he allegedly made a offensive comments to another member of the cast.

Washington's character, Dr Preston Burke, returned to offer Dr Christina Yang (Sandra Oh) the chance to run a hospital in Zurich - after leaving her at the altar all those years ago.
Dr Preston Burke was one of the main characters on the show for the first three series, but was given his marching orders after a row with TR Knight who played Dr George O'Malley.
This episode of Grey's Anatomy can be seen on RTÉ Two, Tuesday, May 13.
