US drama Scandal is moving to UK satellite channel Sky Living after being dropped by Channel 4.

The first two seasons of the slick, fast-paced series were broadcast on Channel 4’s More4 offshoot, but yesterday it was announced that they would not be acquiring further episodes.

In a further twist, Sky Living has confirmed that it will air season three in the summer, while seasons one and two are available now on demand.

The Emmy-winning series - created by Shonda Rhimes - stars Kerry Washington as crisis manager Olivia Pope in a drama about her team of lawyers, hackers and political insiders.

Director of Sky Living HD Antonia Hurford-Jones said: “Living dramas are known for compelling storytelling, engaging characters and intricate relationships and Scandal has all of the above in spades.

“It is the most addictive series and I'm thrilled to be able to share it with our customers."

Scandal won an Emmy in 2013 and has also been nominated for a Golden Globe, and is one of the most popular dramas on American TV.
