Speculation is rife that Tom Hardy has married his fiancé, Charlotte Riley, after referring to her as his wife at a press conference.
The 36-year-old actor was in New York promoting his latest movie, Locke, when talk turned to his love life.
Hardy told reporters: "Well my wife is an actor as well so she sort of gets it..."
When asked what he liked most about 32-year-old Riley, he said: "She's pure. She's just a very kind, pure person."
He went on to refer to himself as a "boyfriend", not a husband, and Hardy wasn't wearing a wedding ring.
The couple has been engaged since 2010.
