Ciarán Foy, the Irish writer-director of the award-winning chiller Citadel, is to direct the sequel to the Ethan Hawke-starring horror Sinister.
Deadline.com reports that Sinister 2 will begin production in July.
The original film grossed over $77m on a budget of $3m.
Citadel, Foy's feature debut, won the Midnighter Audience Award at the South by Southwest Film Festival in 2012.
