Kelly Osbourne reckons Justin Bieber should be allowed to make some mistakes and that he deserves to be cut some slack.

The 29-year-old star, who became friends with Bieber earlier this year when he gave her a graffiti lesson, thinks the 20-year-old Baby hitmaker deserves "a break" as she knows how difficult it is to grow up in the spotlight.

Speaking to the HuffPost Live Osbourne said: ''Even Justin Bieber, it's not fair. Because if you remember, when I was 16, all of a sudden I was one of the most famous 16-year-olds in the entire world.

"And it happened overnight - and there wasn't Twitter then. Every teenager deserves to make a mistake and act out and learn from them.

''And how can they learn from their mistakes if there's always somebody there trying to fix it for them and no one actually trying to help them?

"So in that situation, when it comes to Justin Bieber, I find it really unfair. I think people need to give the kid a break.''

Bieber is due to appear in court in Miami on May 5 after he was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), resisting arrest and driving without a valid licence, all of which he has pleaded not guilty to.
