Cillian Murphy, Mikel Murfi and Stephen Rea bring Enda Walsh's new play, Ballyturk, to Dublin's Olympia Theatre this August for a limited run.
The production, which makes its world premiere at the Galway Arts Festival in July, marks Murphy’s return to the stage and is Walsh’s first new play in four years and his first since he won a Tony Award for Once, the Broadway musical, currently running in New York, London’s West End and on a major US tour.
The strapline for Ballyturk reads: "The lives of two men unravel quickly over the course of 90 minutes. Where are they? Who are they? What room is this, and what might be beyond the walls?"
Mikel Murfi is currently touring in his production of his one-man show The Man In The Woman’s Shoes which was recently nominated for Best New Play at the Irish Times Irish Theatre Awards.
Stephen Rea featured in Field Day Theatre Company’s latest production of Sam Shepard’s A Particle of Dread (Oedipus Variations) for Derry’s City of Culture 2013.
Ballyturk runs at The Olympia Theatre from August 7 to 23 and tickets from €27.50 including booking fee are on sale now via ticketmaster.ie and from The Olympia Theatre box office.
