Former Desperate Housewives and Body of Proof star Dana Delany is making a return to drama with a lead role in Amazon’s Hand of God pilot.
Delany will play Crystal Harris, the wife of Hellboy and Sons of Anarchy actor Ron Perlman’s character, Judge Harris Pernell.
The hour-long project, from Burn Notice Executive Producer Ben Watkins, focuses on Pernell, a hard-living, law-bending married man with a high-end call girl on the side.
But Pernell then has a religious awakening and starts hearing voices through his son, who’s on ventilator, and figures that could be God speaking to him.
The drama’s cast also includes former The Wire star Andre Royo – who played recovering junkie Bubbles - as Bobo, the local mayor and Pernell’s best friend.
