The Cavan four-piece gave a high-octane rendition of their song What A Shame on Monday (March 24) show, which Letterman clearly enjoyed.
The hugely popular and influential entertainer wrapped up their performance by saying: ""It's The Strypes – that's all you need to know.''
The Strypes, who are currently on a US tour, were among three headline acts announced yesterday for the Sea Sessions music festival in Donegal this summer. Kelis and The Dandy Warhols will also play in Bundoran on June 27-29.
The Strypes will tour Europe this summer including a date in Belfast on April 10, and two shows in Dublin on April 11 and 12.
