Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan has dismissed claims that she wore make-up for the recent #nomakeupselfie trend on Twitter in aid of cancer research.
The 26-year-old star, who plays Tina McIntyre in the popular soap, has slammed accusations that she was wearing make-up for the charity photo.
Taking to her Twitter page, Keegan said: "I got 14.000 favourites with that pic, if everyone donated that means the charity got £42.000...did u donate! Probably not!"
She added: "And just for the record I actually wasn't wearing make-up! Stop being so negative it's for charity U silly boy!"
Michelle later told her followers: "Sometimes you have to take a deep breath, walk away and let karma take over!"
She then uploaded a picture with the phrase: "A real woman avoids drama, she knows her time is precious and she's not wasting it on unimportant things."
The Irish Cancer Society has said it has received more than €400,000 in donations from the 'No MakeUp Selfie' initiative.
Meanwhile, the campaign has raised over £8 million in the UK.
