Kimberlely Walsh has assured fans that her unborn baby is fine after she broke her wrist earlier this week.

The Girls Aloud star had a nasty fall on Sunday (March 23) and had to be hospitalised to get a cast on her arm.

She tweeted a photo of the cast, writing: "Slipped and broke my wrist First break at 32! On a happier note thanks to the lovely nurses in A&E tonight you were all lovely."

The singer has now taken to Twitter after having a scan to explain that her baby was unhurt in the accident.

She said: "Just been for a check up & our little munchkin is fine! I successfully took the entire weight of my fall on my wrist so baby is very happy.

"The baby was literally waving at me to tell me everything's fine."

Walsh first announced that she and long-term boyfriend Justin Scott were expecting their first child together last month.

She tweeted: "Justin and I are so happy to let you all know we are having a baby!!!. Couldn't wait to share our lovely news with you all."
