Dubliner Domhnall Gleeson is being linked with a major role in the movie reboot of Marvel Comics’ Fantastic Four.
Michael B Jordan, Miles Teller, Jamie Bell and Kate Mara are playing the principal character role, but director Josh Trank has still to decide on who will portray the evil Doctor Doom.
According to The Wrap, Gleeson is one of ‘four actors with accents’ (sic) under the age of 35 who are being considered for the role. The others are Eddie Redmayne, Toby Kebbell and Sam Riley.
30-year-old Gleeson has been on a steady upward trajectory while acting across TV, film and stage, and was most recently seen in Irish black comedy drama Calvary, alongside his father Brendan, Chris O'Dowd and Aidan Gillen.
