Cian Nugent, Heathers, Hozier, September Girls, and The Strypes are among the 12 Irish acts who will perform at this year's South by Southwest in Austin, Texas.
Now in its 27th year, the week of music festivals, conferences, film and interactive media events attracted over 16,000 registrants last year and has become a key event in the global music industry.
The Irish acts performing at this year's festival have been funded by Music From Ireland, a First Music Contact spearheaded project partnership with Culture Ireland. Generator Northern Ireland will provide funding for all Northern Irish acts.
Featuring on the Irish line-up are Cian Nugent, Dott, Heathers, Hozier, Kid Karate, RAMS Pocket Radio, September Girls, The Strypes, The Young Folk, Unknown, Wonder Villains and Wounds.
SXSW began on March 7 and runs to March 16 with the Irish contingent playing from the 10 to the 14. Information on the acts and where they will perform can be found at www.musicfromireland.org
