With the Round of 16 matches resuming in the UEFA Champions League this week, Clare musician Paul Quinn's cover of the competition's anthem has received over 98,000 views on YouTube in four days.
Speaking to RTÉ TEN about his cover, the Ennis man said: "It wasn't too hard to get right since I've heard the song so many times, being a footie fan. Although, picking out all the different pieces by ear was a bit time-consuming."
He continued: "Also, I couldn't find any sheet music to help me out, which made things a bit awkward. But I strangely prefer it that way; not having anything to go by."
Quinn's other covers on acoustic guitar include Amhrán na bhFiann, the Game of Thrones theme and music from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.
RTÉ Two will screen Barcelona v Manchester City on Wednesday March 12 at 7:30pm, followed by the new series of Second Captains Live at 10:20pm (subject to extra time and penalties in the match).
