Katy Perry and John Mayer have reportedly parted ways, after almost two years of dating.

The on-off pair are said to have split up over the past few days, according to E! News.

A source close to the celebrity couple said that Perry broke up with Mayer, although further details are not known.

They have not officially commented on the report, which comes shortly after Mayer was absent during the popstar's trips to London and Milan.

The singers last year collaborated on the track Who You Love, off of Mayer's latest album, Paradise Valley, and appeared in a music video together.

The couple first confirmed their romance in summer 2012. The split up briefly but reconciled before ending their relationship again in March 2013. They got back together later in the year.

In an interview last December with Ellen DeGeneres, Perry commented on their relationship: "We have a lot of fun. We have music as an understanding and love between each other and we connect."
