Pharrell Williams has revealed the reason why his upcoming LP will be titled G I R L – because he feels 'society is a little unbalanced'.
The 40-year-old Happy singer told BBC Radio 1, "The reason why I named it G I R L in capital letters is because when you look at it, it looks a little weird. And the reason why it does is because society is a little unbalanced."
He continued, "Women have been so good to me over this entire career and they've done so much for my family. Everything I've ever gotten is because they've paid for [it], so they're like, my bosses – indirectly and directly – you guys are like my bosses. So for me, I wanted to analyse that for a second."
G I R L is set for release on the first week of March.
