Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle has signed up to star in a new TV drama.
The 52-year-old Scottish singer will play a singing lighthouse keeper in the show, according to The Sun newspaper.
A spokesperson for the I Dreamed a Dream star said, "She's very excited."
The drama has been given the working title Diva and centres on a young woman from the Channel Islands who dreams of stardom.
Boyle made her movie debut as a church warden's wife in The Christmas Candle last year.
