The producers of Modern Family have invited Cate Blanchett to make an appearance in the show while they're filming in her home-town of Sydney, Australia.
The Golden Globe-winning comedy series has already had high-profile guest stars including Edward Norton, James Marsden and Danny Trejo and executive producer Steven Levitan has set Blanchett in his sights after befriending her on a flight.
Levitan told Australia's Daily Telegraph, "We've got some crazy people to do things for us in the past just by asking, but we thought maybe a quick cameo of Cate...we're big fans of hers."
Blanchett is currently in the running for Best Actress at this year's Academy Awards for her work in Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine.
