Authors Emma Donoghue and Anita Shreve are to feature in Dublin Writers Festival preview events, on March 29 and April 2, ahead of the Festival in May.

This year, the Dublin Writers Festival runs from May 17 to 25. The full line-up of writers and events will be announced at the beginning of April.

Festival previews, Off the Page feature Emma Donoghue, who will speak at The Printworks (Dublin Castle) on March 29. Author of the Man Booker Prize-nominated Room, Emma Donoghue will discuss her life and work, and her new novel Frog Music. The novel tells the story of a burlesque dancer living in San Francisco in the stifling summer of 1876.

Orange-Prize-nominated American author Anita Shreve will be at the Smock Alley Theatre on April 2 for the second Off the Page event to talk about her latest novel, The Lives of Stella Bain. It's the story of a woman who wakes one morning in a military hospital in France with almost no idea who she is or how she got there.
