Godfather of dance music Giorgio Moroder has confirmed he is working with dance music princeling David Guetta and he also says he's interested in collaborating with Miley Cyrus.

The Italian producer, who appeared with Daft Punk on their 2013 album Random Access Memories, told Digital Spy, "I love Lady Gaga, Rihanna - all the pop girls like Katy Perry. I think Miley Cyrus is very talented too.

"Apart from the visuals, which you may like or not like, but her music is quite good actually. Wrecking Ball is quite a good song and she sang it really nicely."

Moroder, who has collaborated with David Bowie and Donna Summer during his long career, was coy about his upcoming work.

"I cannot mention the name now because the contracts are not signed, but I'm going to work in the next few days with a very great singer. It's one of my all-time favourite singers. In fact I started to work a little bit with David Guetta. So . . . do you know? It's difficult to answer the rumours, but . . . maybe. Maybe. I don't know."
