Distributor Entertainment One has agreed a deal for the rights to The Grand Seduction, the new comedy starring Brendan Gleeson and Taylor Kitsch.

Directed by Don McKellar (Last Night) and written by Michael Dowse (Goon, FUBAR), The Grand Seduction is a remake of the French-Canadian film La Grande Séduction.

It tells the story of the residents of a Newfoundland fishing village who devise a plan to make a disgraced big city doctor (Kitsch) become their physician in a bid to win a factory contract. Gleeson plays the unemployed fisherman spearheading the town's campaign.

The film is due to be released in the summer.
