The search for the Ireland's Eurovision Song Contest entry gets underway tomorrow afternoon when Rick O'Shea plays each of this year's five songs on his 2fm show.

Speaking to RTÉ TEN, Rick said: "This is the first time anyone will have the chance of hearing them. It's also the first time we've done this on 2fm, so it's a first all round."

He added: "I've listened to all five songs and it's a bumper crop this year. I am not allowed to tell you who the singers or songwriters are or even the titles but all will be revealed tomorrow at 2pm. Tune in."

The Eurosong 2014 mentors are Aslan guitarist Billy McGuinness, singer and songwriter Hazel Kaneswaran, band manager Valerie Roe, tour manager Mark Murphy, and RTÉ 2fm presenter and Kerbdog frontman Cormac Battle.

The first Semi-Final of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest takes place on May 6 in Copenhagen, with the final taking place on May 10.

Tune in to hear the five Irish hopefuls tomorrow at 2pm on Rick in the Afternoon. Listen live on your radio, or via the RTÉ Radio Player or App on your mobile.
