Prince played a suburban living room in London last night (Tuesday Feb 4) and says he wants to charge about ten dollars for tickets on his upcoming tour.

Seven years ago, things were rather different when the singer played a 21-night residency at London’s O2 Arena which can admit audiences of 20,000. But in London last night, Prince started off by playing in a suburban living room before transferring to  North London’s Electric Ballroom (capacity just over 1,000 patrons.)

Prince and backing band 3RDEYEGIRL had flown into London in the early hours of Tuesday morning, having played to a small nightclub audience in New York on Sunday night.

The Purple One gave a press conference at soul singer Lianne La Havas' house in Leyton, East London, where the living room was transformed with purple lights. He and his band played songs from the new album Plectrum Electrum, including the new single PretzelBodyLogic.

Speaking to invited journalists, the artist explained that he wants to charge "about ten dollars” for each ticket on his forthcoming tour.
