Metallics have dominated the red carpet at the 2014 Grammy Awards.

Take a look at our gallery of the event here.

British singer Rita Ora led the fashion pack in a green sequin Lanvin knee-length dress which featured long sleeves.

She paired the look with strappy sandals, a mini clutch and numerous cocktail rings, while wearing her hair in vintage curls.

Country star Taylor Swift also looked stunning in a figure-hugging silver Gucci gown. She paired the sophisticated dress with silver drop earrings and platform heels.

Swift told E!'s Ryan Seacrest about her red carpet choice, saying: "I love it - it's like chain mail. It's bullet proof. It's really heavy. it's all the things you'd expect it to be - it's like a suit of armour."

Pregnant star Ciara went for a bronze Emilio Pucci long sleeved gown which hugged her baby bump to perfection.

Meanwhile, pale shades of white and cream also featured highly at the event, with Beyonce donning a Michael Costello lace embroidered gown which featured sheer panels and a low back.

Katy Perry went for a nude floaty chiffon Valentino gown, which had layers of material decorated with musical notes.

Actress Anna Kendrick wowed in a strapless pale Azarro gown which sported cut-out detailing at the bust and thigh-high split. She accessorised with modern pointed heels, a silver cuff and boxy clutch.

Alicia Keys was a welcome splash of colour in a dramatic plunging bright blue Armani Privé number.

Anna Faris was demure but gorgeous in a simple navy strapless Fitriani gown, which had ruching at the hips and an elegant train.

New Zealand singer Lorde, who picked up two gongs on the night, went for a simple black satin column dress, which she rocked up with gothic-inspired burgundy lipstick.
