The nominees for the 2014 NME Awards have been announced with the Arctic Monkeys dominating the list with eight nods.
LA band Haim have bagged six nominations with Queens Of The Stone Age, Lily Allen, Kanye West, Arcade Fire, Savages and Morrissey each getting mentions in three categories.
Arctic Monkeys are nominated as the Best British Band for a fifth year, and also feature in the Best Album, Best Track and Best Music Video categories. Lead singer Alex Turner is nominated as Hero Of The Year while the band compete for Best Live Band, Best Fan Community and Music Moment of the Year for their Glastonbury performance.
Lily Allen is nominated in the Best Solo Artist category while her song Hard Out Here featured in the Best Track and Best video sections.
One Direction are nominated in the worst band category alongside The Wanted.
The Awards will take place in London on February 26th.
