August: Osage County star Julia Roberts says life after she turned 30 ''has been bliss'' and insists she's had the best time since leaving her 20s behind her.

The 46-year-old Oscar-winning actress insists the last 16 years have been the best of her life.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Julia said: ''On my 30th, every person I loved and adored in the world was with me. I was excited and could not understand the tone of doom about leaving my youth behind.

''Since then, my life has been bliss. If I knew that 30 was going to be so much fun I would have done it at 22!''

Roberts further explained that she isn't worried about ageing and wants to focus on being a good mum to nine-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and six-year-old son Henry.

She added: ''Happiness takes on different forms as you get older, smarter, have more friends or get deeper into relationships in life.

''And the least of my worries is age. I work hard at my job and as a mum. I do not count the years. We all get old and that is OK.''
