Thor star Chris Hemsworth will join Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Cheryl Boone Isaacs to announce this year's Oscar nominations on January 16.
Hemsworth will reveal the nominees for each category at a press conference that will be broadcast live on ABC in America.
The 86th Academy Awards ceremony will be hosted by Ellen DeGeneres and takes place on March 2.
