Transformers actor Shia LaBeouf has announced on Twitter that he is "retiring from all public life."
The 27-year-old actor, who recently came under fire over a plagiarism issue with Daniel Clownes, the comic book artist, took to his social networking site to tell fans about his dramatic decision.
He wrote: "In light of the recent attacks against my artistic integrity, I am retiring from all public life."
Shia added: "My love goes out to those who have supported me."
LaBeouf further posted: "#stopcreating"
The actor changed his Twitter background to the cease-and-desist letter he received from Clowes’ lawyer, using all the information apart from the words, “he must stop all efforts.”
